Online Taster: A Spiritual Perspective of the First Years

The very young child has a natural connection to the spiritual world. As parents and caregivers, we can recognize this as a source of strength and support for the child and be open to the possibility of cooperation from spiritual beings. In this introductory talk, we will explore ways that we may help children maintain this connection through practical, everyday activities.

This is the beginning discussion in the larger conversation of a course designed to develop your understanding of the profound, developmental groundwork being established during the first three years of a child’s life.

Summer Course: Foundations of the Will in the First Three Years

The remarkable process that each child must work through to effectively come into their body is of tremendous value for their life. It is of key importance for the future development of lifelong soul balance. The child under three is working strenuously to build a foundation for their will by learning to walk, move, and integrate their reflexes. Caregivers of young children are the protectors of this process and helpers for the child as they navigate their first steps into life. In this course, we will combine theory with experiential learning to inform our practice in the classroom or the home.

June 16-20, 8am-3pm, In Person at Marin Waldorf School, San Rafael
